some more sketches

 My goal is to paint two paintings in december. so I started sketching out some ideas.

Something Different part V

 I think it looks good. I feel like this is close enough to how i paint.

From here I can start getting more creative.

Something Different part III

After I composed the sketch I printed it out on regular printer paper and used a brush pen to trace it onto another sheet of paper.

I scanned the new brush drawing and changed the color digitally to something similar to what i would paint with when I first start out a painting.

The few patches of fur I traced on a different sheet as well.

I realize that I could try a lot of creative new looks right now but first I want to see if I am able to reproduce  something similar to one of my paintings. After I complete this then I will get more creative with this technique.

Starting the process

 I'm going to make another four color print so I figured I should post the whole process. I will show my painting process in the future, but for now its silkscreen.

So I start out with a sketch. in this case I made the sketch with my tablet in photoshop. I've been really putting my tablet to use lately. next step is to color it in.

Puck Again

Here is a slightly different version of the previous post. I scanned in some newsprint for texture. Its got a different feel to it but I think it looks nice also.

No Puck NO!

Yelling at the cat for no reason, keeps him on his toes.

This is another photoshop four color test.  First I painted puck on bristol board then did the rest digitally.
I am going to try using more dramatic colors for my next one. I tend to stick with colors that are hard to define.
